What are the ZEN Tool Kits?

The ZEN Tool Kits are a fantastic bundle of command line utilities created by the folks at Novell Consulting. They have long been a must have for any Zenworks administrator! However, the tool kits are collections of command line utilities, which of course, mean no user interface. If you're not an ace with scripting, you may not be getting all you can, and should be, from these fabulous tools.

"GUI IT" is a graphical interface that helps you unleash the power of the ZEN Tool Kits! Leveraging the ZEN Tool Kits to perform the leg work, "GUI IT" helps make most of the common, repetitious, and time consuming Zenworks administrative tasks a breeze! "GUI IT" is a simple to use suite of seven different interfaces that drive specific utilities from the ZEN Tool Kits to perform many different tasks. Each interface logs itself every step of the way, providing you with a complete log of each action taken and its result. Also, each interface can be configured to deploy slowly. Giving you complete control of how fast you want to deploy, by determining how many seconds each tool will wait between NDS writes. Templates can also be created and saved for easy retrieval of frequently used destination and search lists. The "GUI IT" interfaces are intuitive, straight forward and simple to use. These interfaces will quickly become a ZEN Tool Kit add on that you won't be able to live without.
